PTA – Pakistan Telecommunication Authority on 15th jan 2012 lifted the ban on all porn websites which was imposed earlier in Dec 2011 , PTCL and other associated or linked ISP’s were ordered to apply filter to huge collection of URL’s which resulted in massive bandwidth enforcements on ISP’s URL diverting and other equipments . Vast quantity of online users in Pakistan search and watch porn online , recent act by PTA clearly indicates that enforcing the freedom to browse isnt possible by custom filtering certain or huge URLS.

i think instead of implementing a enforced decision PTA / PTCl should improve parental controls options during user subscription to their service like there should be dedicated access for free browsers and dedicated for limited browsers who wish to dont have any access to porn websites , in this way there will be smooth user experience for both genres of users .
