Paypal is a global payment gateway widely used for online transactions .Over 100 million people worldwide use paypal as their desired visa credit card linked payment gateway “Paypal” , unfortunately paypal is not available in Pakistan , it was functional and working till 2004 when paypal halted its service in Pakistan after many fraud / misuse cases reported from the sellers in Pakistan .

Beside that banking system of Pakistan got some conflicts with paypal policies / terms and another major drawback is that online community / IT / Ecommerce entities like p@sha / PTA never raised a voice for enabling somehow paypal in Pakistan . Paypal is the requirement i must say basic requirement for thousands of freelancers , search engine optimizers , date entry workers , sellers based in Pakistan . i am hopeful Paypal will sooon initiate their services in Pakistan .
There are some alternatives that can be used as a payment gateways to send / receive payment in or from Pakistan , Moneybookers is a major payment gateway beside that alertpay and payoneer credit cards are widely used too .
